We did some science. In science we learned about levers (SA).

We had mission impossible in gym. Tomorrow is our last day of mission impossible (EG).

In social studies we talked about treaties again. We had a class debate about whether the treaties were fair or not (EK).

In math we continued with our partial quotient strategy. Tomorrow we will learn a new division strategy (DM).

- Donut forms are due on Monday
- Dodge ball forms are due on Monday

**** We have talked about the importance of washing our hands and keeping ourselves healthy.

COVID-19 Update

Dear Acadia Families, First of all, I would like our families to know how much we are already missing our students.  There are only a few times that schools are open with a full staff and no children and that is usually in August when we are excitedly preparing for a new school year or in June as we clean up in preparation for the following school year.  Being here at school in March with no students is very odd for all of us.  Please know that we are thinking about our families every day and wish everyone the best.   We understand that families are wanting to collect their child’s personal belongings from school and we have been advised through guidelines, set out by Alberta Health Services, to create a schedule for families regarding pick-up of student personal belongings.   Personal belongings include indoor shoes, water bottles, or items brought from home.  We will also be returning student’s money for our Texas donut sale orders and any me...

Today in math we continued with the lattice method. Tomorrow we will be learning a new method for solving 2 and 3 digit multiplication. We practiced our Celebration of Learning with Ms. Martin's class. We are so excited to share with everyone what we have been learning! In science we brainstormed different translucent, transparent and opaque items. Tomorrow we will experiment with creating shadows using these different types of materials. In the afternoon we worked on our newspaper articles. We had a writer's workshop where we edited a partner's work. Reminders - Please return field trip forms ASAP and pay online if possible - If any parents are free to volunteer on January 28th for our field trip, our class still needs more volunteers - Our Celebration of Learning is on Friday! Monday February 24th 2020

In gym we started gymnastics (BP). We had book club today (AR). In social studies we learned about story robes and created stories using symbols (AR). In math we started division! (EG) Special Reminders: - Pink Shirt Day is on Wednesday. We have a Friendship dance that afternoon. - Family Movie Night is on Thursday. - Popcorn sales on Wednesday - Library Day tomorrow
