Important Survey

Hello Acadia Families,

One of our amazing teachers has created a google survey that asks families everything that teachers will need to know about each family’s access to technology or if they will require paper/pencil resources. By responding to this survey, we can collect information into a single document that all teachers can access and families will only have to respond once instead of multiple emails from teachers.

Today in math we continued with the lattice method. Tomorrow we will be learning a new method for solving 2 and 3 digit multiplication. We practiced our Celebration of Learning with Ms. Martin's class. We are so excited to share with everyone what we have been learning! In science we brainstormed different translucent, transparent and opaque items. Tomorrow we will experiment with creating shadows using these different types of materials. In the afternoon we worked on our newspaper articles. We had a writer's workshop where we edited a partner's work. Reminders - Please return field trip forms ASAP and pay online if possible - If any parents are free to volunteer on January 28th for our field trip, our class still needs more volunteers - Our Celebration of Learning is on Friday! Friday February 7th, 2020

Friday February 7th, 2020 This morning we had a circle of courage assembly. We played a Light and Shadow jeopardy game today to review our science unit. We will be having a test on Monday. Everyone took home their science duotangs filled with everything we have learned this unit along with a photo of our science wall. If you feel like studying, use these resources to help you! Monday February 24th 2020

In gym we started gymnastics (BP). We had book club today (AR). In social studies we learned about story robes and created stories using symbols (AR). In math we started division!
